Owner and therapist
As a therapist, I know how important relationships are. I believe this is especially true when it comes to building a healthy relationship with the therapist you plan on working with for counseling. That’s why I wanted to take a moment and tell you a little bit more about myself and my therapy practice.
My Experience
As a Couples Therapist and Marriage Counselor
As a therapist, I chose to work with couples because I have been married for over 20 years so I know some of the challenges and rewards of being in a stable relationship. Also, as a child of divorce, I understand some of the damage and trauma a broken relationship can bring to children.
In particular, I draw upon spiritual traditions to use as strengths to maintain family relationships in times of marital crisis and separation.
As a Parent Who Understands Trauma
As an adoptive parent, I also understand how the traumas our children face can impact a couple’s relationship. My goal is to use all of my expertise, tools, and experience to help you build and maintain a thriving relationship. I will also support you as you navigate the challenges associated with supporting your adopted child.
As a Hospice Chaplain
I have walked with people through grief and loss. I have experienced that sense of fog or not knowing what to do after a major loss when my mother passed away and I lost other family members. So, whether you are dealing with the loss of a loved one, a change in health status, or are going through some type of transition I will walk with you as we navigate that experience.
