Private Pay Counseling Practice
Faith and Family Empowerment is a private pay counseling practice. We do not accept insurance and we do not bill insurance companies.
A card on file is required for all appointments, and payment is processed the morning of your appointment. Saturday appointments are processed on Friday morning.
While we do not accept insurance, many clients choose private pay counseling because it offers greater privacy, more flexibility, and more personalized care.
Counseling Rates
William Hemphill, LPC
Initial Session or Assessment (50 minutes): $210
Individual Counseling (50 minutes): $175
Couples Counseling (50 minutes): $210
Couples Counseling (75 minutes): $320
Couples Counseling (100 minutes): $500
Marriage Intensives (4 to 8 hours): Please inquire for pricing and availability
William specializes in marriage counseling, affair recovery, marriage intensives, EMDR, spiritual trauma, and counseling for clergy and helping professionals.
Rashad Morgan, LMSW
Initial Session or Assessment (50 minutes): $150
Individual Counseling (50 minutes): $125
Couples Counseling (50 minutes): $150
Rashad specializes in premarital counseling, marriage counseling, Christian counseling, men’s counseling, anxiety, and life transitions.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that explains the expected cost of your counseling services. This document will be provided to you through the client portal during the intake process.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
A card on file is required for all clients. Payment is processed the morning of your appointment. Saturday appointments are processed on Friday morning.
If your card is declined, we will contact you to update your payment information. If payment is not completed before your appointment time, the appointment may need to be rescheduled.
We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice may be charged the full session fee.
Getting Started
If you are ready to begin counseling, the first step is to schedule an initial appointment.
After scheduling, you will receive intake paperwork through our secure client portal. Intake paperwork must be completed at least 48 hours before your first appointment or the appointment may need to be rescheduled.

Why We Do Not Accept Insurance
Using insurance for therapy requires a mental health diagnosis and ongoing communication between the therapist and the insurance company. Insurance companies often require therapists to share personal health information, assign a diagnosis, and justify the medical necessity of therapy.
As a private pay practice, this allows us to:
- Protect your privacy and confidentiality
- Avoid giving a mental health diagnosis when it may not be necessary
- Focus on your goals rather than insurance company requirements
- Offer longer sessions and marriage intensives
- Provide Christian counseling and faith-integrated counseling if desired
- Provide more personalized and specialized care
Many of our clients, including couples, professionals, and those in ministry or leadership, prefer private pay counseling because of the privacy and flexibility it provides.
